Job Description

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries involving large animals
  • Safely restrain and handle large animals for diagnostic and treatment procedures
  • Prepare and maintain examination areas, equipment, and surgical tools
  • Clean and disinfect barns, pens, trailers, and work areas to maintain sanitary conditions
  • Monitor vital signs and provide basic care such as feeding, grooming, and wound cleaning
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a veterinarian
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures and treatments
  • Provide client education on basic animal care, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures
  • Assist in the transportation and unloading of animals when needed
  • Follow all safety and animal welfare protocols
